Cognitive Dimension
This dimension is for the child to comprehend him/herself in the process of acquiring
knowledge to understand the world that surrounds him/her so that he/she can achieve moral,
social, and intellectual autonomy.
Suggestions by Ages
1’s
•
Expose the child to the greatest amount possible of experiences, verbalizing those events
•
Permanently model the language for thought with other adults that are in the classroom or
alone if necessary
2’s

Name the children’s thoughts (e.g. I see that you found a similarity...)

Model the language for thought

Give them the opportunity to choose between possible options of activities,
