History:
The study of past events as relevant to today. It is important to remember why history is
important as it relates to present behaviors! We are who we are today because of past
experiences and events that eventually gave rise to today. History is exceptionally important for
children to understand at each age group, as it provides them the opportunity to explore various
concepts: time, sequence, logic, understanding, problem-solving skills, fosters creativity through
collaboration, independent study, and the ability to produce results based on their development
of hindsight and foresight. These are all important in all domains of the learning process.
