I. Basic developmental areas to focus on during this month: Science: Science is a process that we learn in order to build a great understanding of the world around us. This domain not only introduces to the world and how it works from even the most simplest of levels, it gives us the tools we need to build knowledge on top of knowledge while fostering in us the development of new ideas in order to perceive the world in which we live and how we can manipulate it. This process also allows for us to build self-confidence while arriving at truths. Through science we are using a very logical process to arrive at these truths through testing and re-testing ideas. We are forced to go out into the world and collect data, hypothesize, exemplify, and postulate our ideas while collaborating with that of others. The Claim/Support/Question thinking routine would be perfect for this domain! We need to instill in children at very early
