Animal Kingdom
What is the animal kingdom? Animal comes from the Latin derived word, animalis,
which means: breath.
The animal kingdom is comprised of both living and extinct animals (living animals
evolved from extinct animals, which is why it is important for students to gain that
understanding).
How does the animal kingdom affect us? What is the Circle of Life? Where are we on that
circle? What do animals offer us?

Warmth (furs, leathers, etc.)

These are all provocative type questions that you will use to provoke the thinking process.

In addition to the fact that is a unit of inquire that we naturally are trying to explore, this is a
theme that easily facilitates the work in all developmental areas.
