Introduction
An efficient education is always characterized by a philosophical framework that is clear,
timely, and holistic.
Module 1 of the VESS Model is the conceptual and theoretical framework on which the
Edu1st vision is founded. The module highlights the philosophical pillars that guide all of our
educational work, and outlines the key areas that need to be taken into account to generate rich
contexts that promote learning and the development of all the agents involved in the educational
process.
Although children are at the center of our focus and daily inspiration, we understand that
in order to generate a valuable context for them, we must also work with the teachers, family and
community that surrounds each child. With this in mind, it is with the creation of cultures that
are thoughtful, ethical and sustainable that we are able to give our children a context in which
they can build a balanced life that has meaning and wisdom, a VESS life.
This first module explains each area of the VESS disc by using conventional and friendly
language to connect with teachers and break the gap between theory and practice. It is the
philosophical foundation that supports the subsequent modules, and it is meant to act as a
reference point when working with the materials that we send monthly.
Module 1 is a dynamic module that feeds on the daily tasks that we perform and the latest
advances in the study of Brain, Mind and Education. It will be updated constantly and
thoroughly to keep up with the latest advances relating to our educational mission.
