History
After countless studies and research to find the best educational models for children in
the world, Edu1st sees the need to give a clearer structure to the educational model, crafting
VESS from the process of integration of the different strategies mentioned previously; a process
that has taken more than 10 years.
Purpose of VESS - Balanced Life With Meaning and Wisdom
The VESS model – which stands for the words that in English translate to: Balanced Life
with Meaning and Wisdom – goes hand-in-hand with everything that is considered to be an
intrinsic motivator. In brief, the concept of leading a balanced life refers to finding, within
ourselves, the value of the things we do and the deeper meaning behind why we do them. To
accomplish this, the model uses “thinking” as a pedagogical strategy. It should be noted that
VESS, and everything that encompasses its philosophy of working with the proses of thinking as
the foundation of every aspect of the individual’s growth, is not limited to developing academic
skills in children, but also contemplates very deeply the encouragement of values, ethics, conflict
resolution skills, empathy, civic awareness, open-mindedness, clear mental dispositions toward
