I have to ask, how did the solo LP come about and does it signal a permanent departure
from The Meds Collective?
Well about two months after The Meds Collective finished, I met up and started working with a
music producer called Oliver Radio, with the view of recording some music just for the fun of it.
As we did not have a 'goal' as such, in terms of what would happen with the music, no one
outside of the project knew about the recording sessions, which felt nice, as there was no
pressure to hurry and get the music out there.
It was only after about a year after the recording sessions were finished, we revisited the
recorded material, some of which we'd even forgotten about, and we decided to put an album
out.
I definitely have no plans to do anything more with The Meds Collective at the moment, but who
knows what the future holds.
Where’s the dream to perform? (venue/location)
I'd love to perform at Wembley Stadium. A man can dream hahaha.
Is there anything I haven’t asked you about you’d like to mention? (project of your own,
act or friend you want to give a shout to/draw attention to, etc.)
I'd like to give a huge thanks to the producer Oliver Radio for being an amazing producer, mutliinstrumentalist and friend, as well as Heidi J and Jake Telford for contributing vocals (Heidi J)
and Saxophone (Jake Telford) to the album.
If I got in the passenger seat of your car and hit the eject button on your stereo right now,
what would I find?
The 'Plastic Beach' album by The Gorillaz.
