struggle. Ill-model-society is a nation and/or world corrupt on every level of society. SOCIAL STATISTICS! Most people, if not all, do not want to be a number in the negative statistics of life. Consequently, during the year 2003 there were staggering numbers of negative statistics in the United State of America in unemployment, abusive drugs, divorce rate, and prison incarceration. According to the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics Annual Average unemployment rate was at 6.0% for the year. Further, the unemployment level has risen to 8,774,000 million people during this year 2003. Second, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) report teens who have ever used illicit drugs or cigarettes in the eighth, tenth, and twelfth grades. Teens who used any illicit drug are 24% in the eighth grade, 43% in the tenth grade, and 52% in the twelfth grade. Two, the teens who have used cigarettes are 31% in the eighth grade, 49% in the tenth grade, and 57% in the twelfth grade. Third, teens who have used cocaine were 3% in the eighth grade, 7% in the tenth grade, and 8% in the twelfth grade. Next, teens who have used heroin are 1% in the eighth grade, 1% in the tenth grade, and 1% in the twelfth grade. And, teens who have used marijuana are 19% in the eighth grade, 40% in the tenth grade, and 49% in the twelfth grade. This is a source of the University of Michigan, Monitoring the future study 2002. Then, there is the divorce rate in the year 2003 in the United States of America. According to Lee H. Baucom, M. Div., Th. M., Ph.D. Counseling, Coaching, Consulting nearly 1 and 2 marriages end in divorce. Worse, Marriage Counseling has an equally poor record. According to studies, almost 50% of couples in therapy end up divorce. Only 10 to 20% of couples who go to therapy see any significant help from counseling. And last, but not lease, there is the prison population in the United States of America. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics in 2002, 6.7 million people were on probation, in jail or prison, or on parole at year-end 2002 (2003 begin) -- 3.1% of all U.S. adult residents or 1 in ever 32 adults. State and Federal prison authorities had under their jurisdiction 1,440,655 inmates at yearend 2002: 1,277,127 under State jurisdiction and 163,528 under Federal jurisdiction. And local jails held or supervised 737,918 persons awaiting trial or serving a sentence at midyear 2002. About 72,400 of these were persons serving their sentence in the community. After dramatic increase in the 1980’s and 1990’s, the incarceration rate has recently leveled off. Between 1995 and yearend 2002, the incarcerated population grew an average 3.6% annually. Population growth during the 12-month period ending December 31,2002 was lower in State prisons (up 2.5%) than in local jails (up 5.4%) and Federal prison (5.8%). Note: Prison industries are corporate businesses in the United States of America. Prison is a systematic Modernism (modern) day slavery. “Elsewhere (Davis, 1995), I have traced the rise of modernism and identified reasons for its decline. From its inception during the 16 th century, modernism has been an especially virulent (extreme poisonous - full of hate - violent, rapid in its course - and highly infectious) and hegemonic (leadership and dominance as one state or nation over others)….” “Bureaucracy provided a very powerful means of structuring social order. It proved so powerful that it could constrain and manipulate culture to reach bureaucratic objectives. Bureaucracies have two means of control -- technology and coercion. With these tools, they are able to extend their power over vast reaches of time and space.” (Reported by Dennis K. Davis. Page 157. Towards Equity In Global Communication.
