Alberta Fishing Guide Summer-Fall 2015 | Page 98

The Bow River is having an incredible bounce back season after the floods of 2013 hit the river. In 2014 the majority of trout were 18 - 20" long, and tube-shaped.

We had a mild, moderate winter and favorable spring-early summer in Alberta and the fish have simply grown fat, rapidly. The rainbows and browns are in prime condition this season, with 22 - 26" fish again on the docket.

The Bow certainly warmed up in the heat & drought this summer: this led to a temporary closure. This will be short-lived and we anticipate a solid fall season.
