As the weight of the world gets heavier, my solution to soul restitution is to re-orient myself with altitude therapy. Little else compares to the cleansing characteristics of a full backpack and the burning lungs it imparts. The harsh and barren moonscape of the alpine can mysteriously unfold into a carpet of lush, yet delicate flora and fauna that can force any inquiring mind to gaze in complete amazement. These remote places are where the sure-footed ungulates reside and thrive. Though generally sensitive to overpressure, there are many pristine lakes teaming with fish so characteristic of their sparkling turquoise waters.
