Alberta Fishing Guide 2016 Mid-Summer Digital | Page 8

Welcome!

We're excited to share this Alberta Fishing Guide Mid-Summer Digital Magazine. In stepping into digital media, we're moving forward, creating value for the Alberta angling community. We hope this connects and represents Alberta, something we all can identify with, to share Alberta's angling diversity.

Regardless whether you spin or fly fish, please pay particular attention to the how & where (micro locations of fish in lakes & streams) as described in several articles. The methods shared in fly articles can easily be adapted to spin fishing, so too the reverse. The articles were chosen specifically to share various Alberta angling opportunities, and keeping an open mind can open many new experiences for you.

We hope you appreciate all the content from the various writers, photographers... everyone involved in their trips & experiences. With 25 contributions in this Digital Magazine, there are literally hundreds of Albertans represented through fishing partners, wives & husbands, friends & families. We don't take that lightly. Fishing is a wonderful way to spend time together and we hope that our contributors and readership is honored by this effort.

The contributors of this publication aren't all household names - we've done that deliberately. Alberta has a wealth of anglers, photographers, and videographers. We all have stories to share through writing and visual art. We've long believed that there needs to be more opportunity for everyone's voice to be seen, heard, and experienced by others. While we've sought out content contributors for this issue, and we do want to hear from you, to include you, your voice, your experiences, and your photos and video as we move into the 2017 issue! Please email us.

The style and editing of this media is intended to be looser than that of our annual print magazine, to have a little fun and simply share the various media. We hope you enjoy all the wonderful contributions.

Sincerely,

Dave & Amelia Jensen
