Last fall, Tiger Trout were stocked into Lower Chain Lake, Black Nugget Lake, and East Twin lake. This is a new effort for Alberta, one that has been well received and successful elsewhere. Large adult tiger trout in fall colours are simply fantastic fish to catch & photograph once round, robust, and in the 22 - 24" range. Hopefully ours can reach that size in time with good management and stocking regimes - Lower Chain Lake has had high stocking rates of rainbow trout for many years. Hopefully that moderates to give these fish a chance to grow. Earlier this summer, we ventured to Athabasca to fish with Nick Sliwkanich and have a go during the damsel fly emergence....
