If you've read the Alberta Fishing Guide Magazine through the years, you likely have had to stop yourself from day dreaming more than once.
Maps and short write-ups in the back of the magazine with just enough information about the trails and fishing to tantalize the little boy and girl explorer in us all.
Chester Lake was always one that did it for me.
"Cutthroat Trout; Northern Dolly Varden to 10 lbs. Alberta's only Northern Dolly Varden. Small lake, best reached by following Chester Cr upstream of where it's crossed by Hwy 742 at Mud L, about 50km south of Hwy 1 junction at Canmore. About 4km uphill hike" read the text for years.
I'm still intrigued by that.
