ORGANIC WINTER TRITICALE ORGANIC FUNGICIDES Organic NE426GT Winter Triticale 2014 was a tough year to grow small grain in many areas of the Upper Midwest. The cooler temperatures and above-average rainfall led to the development of serious fungal diseases such as Crown Rust in oats and Fusarium Head Blight (scab) in wheat and barley. Fusarium Head Blight-infected grain can cause Vomitoxin, which can be fatal to livestock. There are some products approved for organic crop production that have activity against many of these fungal diseases. 110 bu/A, Arlington, WI! • Excellent dual-purpose winter triticale that can be cut for forage or harvested for grain • High grain yields, low ergot • Medium maturity • Moderate straw strength • Good winter hardiness • Drill 100-120 lbs./acre, ½ to 1 in. deep AF Green Foliar from TerraMax.
