From NFL player turned film and TV star. Terry Crews comes to us with a wise and warmhearted memoir chronicling his lifelong quest to become a good man, loving husband, and responsible father.

To begin with, the title of this book can be slightly misleading. It does not revolve solely on Manhood. There are so many aspects to it, that one could relate to as a mere individual, irrespective of gender.

In it, he speaks about his rough childhood, his college dreams and life after high school. He speaks on the challenges he faced to receive roles such as in "Everybody hates Chris". Some of these challenges being self inflicted and others circumstantial. However, one thing that moves you the most, is how he was able to recognize the flaws within himself and acknowledge his mistakes.

The book in and of itself is one huge whirlwind. There are so many downs, but the ups are truly inspiring. It is a book that can teach you a lot about life. Sometimes it's messy, sometimes it's beautiful, but we can all appreciate it for being one big beautiful mess.
