Afro Nation Records is an independent record label based in Windhoek. Co-founded by Patrick Hubert.
AfroNation’s plans for 2019?
=Patrick Hubert (Co-Founder) and I want to get our music over international borders. Orchestrate more collaborations with fellow Namibians and successfully sign two new artists to Afro Nation records. However, our main priority is focusing on our education. One can never stop learning.
You once said ‘music will take you where you want to be.” Where do you think your music takes people?
=Music opens up the mind to be carefree. When listening to music we indulge in the beauty of our imagination. Sort of like travelling without moving. I’d like to think that my music is the ticket for the departure.
2018 Was the year you ventured out and slowly, started to get the attention of the crowd? How vital was 2018 to you, in terms of furthering your career?
=2018 was a vital year for team dokamusiq. The fan base had been growing and more work needed to be inserted. I needed to step up my level of production which allowed me to discover new sounds and techniques. It was challenging, but with the right people around anything is possible.
