Just as Vergil describes the busy city of Carthage in the Aeneid, the WJCL has been a hive of busy bees. From Fall Forum to certamen and now to Secret Santa, the WJCL has no time to rest.

The months of October through December are always the busiest, not only for Latin, but for the entire school. The semester is coming to an end, and it is never easy to find time for the extracurricular activities that come with being a part of the JCL-- but somehow, our members manage to accomplish this daunting feat. Whether it be attending club meetings or attending out-of-school, events, Walton's turnout is always incredible.

Like every year, the WJCL held its annual Secret Santa, organized by secretary Evan Wen. After signing up, each person was assigned a secret santa.

The first day of gifts was Gag Gift Day, where everyone brought laughter with gifts ranging from pineapples to Band-aids. The second day was Food Gift Day, where food was given and the stress-eating commenced. The final day was the heartwarming Nice Gift Day, where the secret santas revealed themselves to their receivers.

The WJCL managed to once again slightly relieve the academic stress that always comes with the holiday season. A little bit of laughter can go a long way, which the members of the Walton Club proves every year. The tradition of Secret Santa will continue for many years to come, bringing with it joy and holiday spirit.
