What are your goals for the upcoming year?
Something I really want to emphasize this year is collaborative service projects. I really want to see local chapters working together with other local chapters or other clubs to give back to the community. Working together on service projects would make it easier to accomplish bigger projects and also help foster the sense of community within the GJCL. To facilitate this, I'd like to work with the First Vice-President to increase communication across the state and hopefully continue the Vice Presidents' Newsletter to share service and spirit ideas throughout the year.

What are your goals for the upcoming year?
The GJCL Articles of Incorporation state that the Secretary is to “...handle the correspondence of [the organization],” and in my term, I seek to expand upon that role of Secretary in particular.. Being the individual responsible for keeping track of all the information in the GJCL, it only makes sense that I should share this information not only with my fellow officers but also with all of you! In order to fulfill that goal, I have created a newsletter for your sponsors and officers, so they will have fast and easy access to pertinent information, which they can then pass on to you. This newsletter is based in Gmail, and I am hoping that this will also make it easier for your sponsors, officers, and you yourselves to contact the officer board directly. Furthermore, I have created a Google Calendar which contains the dates of all GJCL/NJCL events, competitions, and deadlines! That way, you won’t miss an opportunity just because you missed a registration or test date. Finally, I am trying to improve the GJCL’s social media presence and thereby also expand the accessibility of our minutes. I am so excited for this year!
