Highlights

With a new year comes a new beginning. This year, Wheeler Latin has revived some old traditions, such as our Roman families and Certamen practices. The pictures depict members of Latin Club picking their family name from a trophy. We hope that with these new family groups we can build teamwork, along with some friendly competition. Our Certamen practices every week are off to a great start, and we are preparing diligently for the Certamen Kickoff in September. Another new development of Wheeler’s chapter is our volunteer work in the community. Named “Roman Reads” for the time being, this new volunteer work features a couple of Wheeler Latin students going over to East Marietta Library to read various mythology stories to and play games with the kids. With these new happenings and improvements, Wheeler Latin has high hopes for the future and continues to further improve and learn.

Students in the Wheeler Latin Club draw names out of a trophy which will determine their Roman family.
