Describe your favorite JCL moment.
This isn't necessarily my favorite moment (I have so many favorite JCL moments!), but a moment that has stuck with me is from the last day at my first GJCL convention, when the outgoing president got our attention from the podium, held a sword over her head, and shouted, "SOMEBODY FORGOT THEIR SWORD! PLEASE COME GET YOUR SWORD!" I couldn't help but think that something as awesome and crazy as that could never happen anywhere else!
Why become a Host?
I wanted to help make everyone feel welcome at GJCL! There's a lot of amazing camaraderie here, but I know it can be a bit difficult to break in at first when you're new and scared and not sure why everyone is shouting both yea and nay every time there is a vote.
What are you favorite State Convention competitions? (could be academic, graphic, creative)
I love creative arts competitions! My favorite out of those is probably Dramatic Interpretation. (Pro Tip: Reciting your dramatic interp in a spooky voice will make your non-Latin friends cower in fear.)
If you could be any animal, what animal would you be and why.
A penguin! They are so fun and always well-dressed.
