Being a diesel technician is a high-tech job with good pay . Today ’ s big rigs have sophisticated computer systems that can read speed limit signs and even spot objects in the road . Diesel techs have to be specially trained to work on those systems . If you ’ re a good diesel technician , you can earn more money that what you might make in many other jobs that require a college degree . There is a nationwide shortage of diesel technicians because many people don ’ t think of it as a good career . At MHC , that couldn ’ t be further from the truth .
