Alaina Guillen is a human resources administrator , but started out as a temporary production worker when she was 18 years old , before she even graduated high school . “ I went full time after graduation and worked on the production floor for eight years . During that time , I was an assistant to the line lead , helped with data entry , and also helped with some projects in human resources .” Guillen earned a promotion to human resources , the department where she has built her career over the past 16 years .
“ My favorite part of the job is helping people — that ’ s my passion ,” she explains . In her current position , Guillen is in charge of handling employee benefits and orientation for people who have just been hired . She ’ s working to advance her career , thanks to Rockline ’ s tuition assistance program , part of the company ’ s belief in the importance of education . “ I want to get my degree in human resources , and that financial help allows me to do that . With my degree , I ’ d like to eventually move up to become a human resources generalist ,” Guillen says .
Rockline offers two ways to help grow your career : a personal development track and a professional development track . The personal development track helps pay for formal education , like college classes , that are industry or job related . There is a ‘ we ’ re in this together ’ mentality . Rockline ’ s leadership truly wants us to succeed .”
