What first started as a general store has grown into one of the nation’s leading poultry processors with 4,700 employees in three states. George’s processes more than five million chickens each week, and you’ll find its products in stores and restaurants around the country. Many employees got their start on the production lines and moved up. In addition to production team members, George’s needs people who can keep all the high-tech equipment at its plants up and running. That’s what Shane Hall does. He’s an ammonia refrigeration technician. “We keep things cold,” he laughs.
