hat an unbelievable week we had at the InnSpire Summit & Marketplace. It was so
great to see so many of you on the Queen Mary. What great energy, passion and knowledge sharing by all those in attendance. It was truly a historical week. It takes a team of course to put something on like this and I want to thank CABBI and Select Registry for their partnership. A big thank you to the planning committee, volunteers, room hosts and the staff from all three organizations. We are so appreciative of our sponsors and exhibitors (Allied Partners) who support our industry in so many ways. It was a shining week for innkeeping. InnSpire Summit was full of learning, networking and collaboration which was our goal from the very beginning - mission accomplished.

Gala Dinner and Auction(s)
The Silent and Live Auction were a tremendous success, with proceeds going to support the missions of all three organizations and in the case of AIHP, supporting in part our B&Bs for Vets program. The Live Auction which was a part of the Gala dinner offered 11 packages for auction and raised $28,500 dollars, which goes to support AIHP. The Silent Auction had 54 items or getaways auctioned and raised $9,250 dollars, $4,500 of which goes to support AIHP. We can't thank those who contributed an item enough for their generosity and a special thank you to those who were so giving with their bids.
So many things to share from last week, but I want to focus on a few key takeaways from the Summit below.

2018 Knowledge Sharing Summit and Marketplace
On Monday, we were very excited to announce where our 2018 Knowledge Sharing Summit & Marketplace will be held. Drum roll please.... We are very excited to announce that we will be going to Norfolk, Virginia. The venue will be a brand-new Hilton property that will be well suited for our event, boosting the best in technology, a great Marketplace venue and an exciting community to visit. We are excited to be working with StayVA who will be co-hosting with us. The dates are February 25th - March 1st - 2018. We have created a landing page on our website where you can start following the exciting news about Norfolk.
