infant’s primary care provider, specialty physicians, and clinics to ensure continuity of care for as long as services are needed. The ANGELS and MIECHV teams currently serve 269 infants and young children in the state of Arkansas. According to the program director, Carmen Irby, “One of the strengths of our programs is that our home visitors are members of the communities they serve. Two home visits a month for the first 2 months of enrollment 2. One home visit a month to age one 3. One home visit every other month and one phone call alternate months until the family is no longer enrolled in the program Families can remain or reenter a phase that provides more frequent home visits if needed at any point in the program. Making a Difference in Arkansas Following Baby Back Home has demonstrated the positive influence of home visiting in many areas, including medical appointment adherence and immunization compliance.
