services are needed.
The ANGELS and MIECHV teams currently serve 269 infants and young children in the state of Arkansas.
According to the program director, Carmen Irby, “One of the strengths of our programs is that
our home visitors are members of the communities they serve. This allows them to know the
culture in their region and have a strong knowledge and connection to needed community
services. “

Three Phases of Home Visiting
1. Two home visits a month for the first 2
months of enrollment
2. One home visit a month to age one
3. One home visit every other month and
one phone call alternate months until the
family is no longer enrolled in the program
Families can remain or reenter a phase
that provides more frequent home visits
if needed at any point in the program.
