FALL PROTECTION 8-HOUR COMPETENT PERSON TRAINING
This course is intended for any construction employee working on a job site where fall hazards exist. This course covers FED
OSHA and CAL OSHA Safety Requirements. Participants will: Understand the best practices to identify and eliminate fall hazards;
Understand the different applications of passive, restraint and arrest systems; Be able to perform assessment of fall hazards; Select
the correct fall prote ction equipment; Manage the job-site fall protection program; Make sure the planned procedures are in
place; Make sure that any rescue procedures are in place and compatible for the given job-site.

AGC San Diego’s Fall Protection 24-Hour Competent Person course ensures that a student will receive all of the proper training
pursuant to OSHA’s requirement of Competent Persons for this standard 29 CFR 1926.500. In addition, topics and requirements
are presented per EM 385-1-1. This course will go beyond the basic awareness level of introductory courses and into details
necessary when learning not just how to protect yourself, but also what it takes to initiate a program and create a safe working
environment for those you may be responsible for at your place of employment. This three-day training course includes classroom
time, physical demonstrations, and practical hands-on activities using the AGC Fall Protection Campus and hands-on activities on
how to properly select, inspect, install, assemble, and use fall protection equipment. Training shall include inspecting the AGC Fall
Protection simulators and systems prior to use, installation, component compatibility, estimating free fall distances, total required
clearance, dismantling, storage, and the common hazards associated with each system and component.

FORKLIFT INDUSTRIAL, WAREHOUSE & ROUGH TERRAIN OPERATOR CERTIFICATION (4-HR)
The program covers all areas of safe operation and maintenance, including operating principles, safety rules, recordkeeping,
maintenance, material handling and regulations. Participants are required to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of
the classroom concepts by completing a written evaluation. They must also participate in, and successfully complete, a hands-
on evaluation with a sample forklift (standard sit-down lift used for skills test). Once the training is complete, it is the responsibility
of the employer to train and evaluate the worker on each type of forklift in their specific work environment. Exam and hands-on
operator evaluation is given.

HAZWOPER 40-HOUR TRAINING
This course covers 40 hours of instruction required by 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3), OSHA’s Hazardous Waste and Emergency Response
training standard. This course is designed for General site workers engaged in hazardous substance removal or other activities
which expose or potentially expose workers to hazardous substances and health hazards. This course is comprised of 24 sections,
covering topics pertaining to workplace hazards and is intended for workers participating in Hazardous Waste Operations and
Emergency response removal who will be required to wear a respirator and are likely to be exposed to Hazardous Substances over
PEL (Permissible Exposure Limits). Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion which is
accepted by OSHA as documentation of training.
