This course will provide an overview on how to prepare and amend a SWPPP (for traditional projects) in accordance with the
2009-0009-DWQ CGP based on a project’s Risk Level. Learning Objectives/ Outcomes: How to prepare a SWPPP using the
CASQA Template for Traditional projects, Lessons learned from the past 3 years, Feedback will be provided from project’s LRP’s,
QSD’s and QSP’s implementing SWPPPs out in the field. Design of sediment basins and traps, When is a SWPPP Amendment
required, Understanding on-going interim drainage at a construction site, Understanding the 2009 Construction General Permit

STORMWATER MONTHLY BREAKFAST FORUM
These roundtable sessions will be held the first Tuesday of every month. Each session will comprise of a 90-minute in-class roundtable
with an instructor-led forum to provide Qualified SWPPP Practitioners (QSPs), or their designated inspectors, the opportunity to
discuss implementation issues, present unique site issues, creative solutions, ask questions and provide suggestions regarding
implementation of the 2009-0009-DWQ California Construction General Permit. Each QSP will have the opportunity to ask questions
from a stormwater professional prior to the training and have that specific question addressed in the training. This QSP Forum will
enable QSPs the opportunity to brainstorm solutions, ask questions, and learn about other effective implementation techniques at
other construction sites. Facilitated by: Jayne Janda-Timba and Kelly Doyle of Rick Engineering. Earn: 1.5 PDUs

SWPPP INTRODUCTION
Construction Stormwater Management is a multidisciplinary challenge practiced largely by professionals with a background in
a single discipline. Understanding the range of stormwater management requirements and implementation approaches and
gaining fundamental program skills across this spectrum is the focus of this training. Topics for the training include understanding
soil loss, defining sediment and erosion control BMPs, and how to conduct a site inspection. This course will serve as an intro-
