AGC LEADERSHIP IN CONSTRUCTION FOR CONSTRUCTORS, BY CONSTRUCTORS 3-DAY PROGRAM DESIGNED FOR PROJECT ENGINEERS, PROJECT MANAGERS, ESTIMATORS, COMPANY EXECUTIVES, OPERATION MANAGERS, PROJECT SUPERINTENDENTS, FRONT LINE SUPERVISORS, SAFETY MANAGERS AGC’s Leadership in Construction program, presented by Charles W. Cook, Ph.D. and Thomas J. Burleson, is an intensive, construction specific training program designed for contractors, by contractors. Taught by highly-qualified industry leaders, this three-day training program utilizes a group-interactive format complete with real-world examples and exercises. The leadership development program produces tangible, learning outcomes such as: • Understanding and ability to apply essential leadership qualities for the professional constructor • Understanding key differences between leadership and management; moving good managers to great leaders • Understanding how to bridge the generational divide to effectively supervise all employees • Understanding and ability to apply effective conflict resolution techniques • Ability to balance vision and effective implementation • Completion of a leadership self-assessment, and development of a personal leadership style • Development of a leadership plan for achieving consistent results from one project to the next December 5, 6 & 7, 2018 Personal assessment tools: Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument, DiSC Assessment, CheckPoint 360°™ evaluation, team projects, and instruction by field experienced constructors, participants will: • Identify their personal leadership style through a series of personal assessments, including a CheckPoint 360°™ evaluation • Examine the principles of leadership and discuss strategies to implement them with coworkers in the field and/or office • Compare the difference between management and leadership and learn to distinguish qualities of each • Examine and demonstrate an effective model for conflict resolution • Map an action plan for continued personal and professional growth • Participate in various group activities and assignments to reinforce concepts covered in presentations and discussions What is the CheckPoint 360°™ Evaluation?
