PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Spread across seven District sites and two charter school sites, this
project replaced over 6,000 interior/exterior light fixtures with LED, and upgraded lighting
controls to meet Title 24 requirements. Retro-commissioning, an air handling unit upgrade,
and air handling unit controls also were included. To increase efficiency and minimize
campus disruption, the project team worked a four-day, 10-hour swing after school let out,
and they had to leave every classroom as they found it because the students/teachers
would arrive the next morning. Nearly $300,000 of energy rebates were secured, and
100% of them were passed through to the District.
