PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The REY consists of 478 units in 21 residential stories
located in Cortez Hill, and it includes an eight-level parking structure for
over 60 cars. Unit layout efficiency was a high priority during design
and construction to achieve the overall density of the residential living units. Some of the
amenities include a stunning exterior façade; community gym and pool; outdoor BBQ;
seating areas covered with green roof canopies; an iconic water feature; and a green-
screen system. The western street frontage on 8th Avenue is designated a “green street”
in the Downtown Community Plan, as it is double loaded with two rows of trees and
upgraded sidewalk finishes.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This 60,300 square foot two-story, steel structure links Tijuana
International Airport with a U.S. Customs Processing Facility in Otay Mesa, via an enclosed
400 feet long pedestrian walkway. It is a fully functional, international transportation
terminal housing in-bound and out-bound customs booths, meeting areas, maintenance
areas, check-in area, shops, restaurants, and parking. It includes U.S. Customs and Border
Patrol Operations, and it is the only privately-financed border crossing between the U.S.
and Mexico. This visionary project is the only one of its kind in the world, and over 2,300
passengers use it daily.
