PROJECT: Westfield UTC Phase 2

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This expansion of the Westfield Mall consists of
250,000 square feet of new retail and restaurant space. Eight separate
buildings will add over 90 tenants, 2,000 parking spaces, and a new
Nordstrom. Brady SoCal provided preconstruction services, value engineering cost
analysis, structural light gauge engineering, and BIM services. They utilized their entire
scope of self-performed trades, in addition to several subcontracted trades, and they
met the challenges of a fast-paced schedule and compact footprint.

PROJECT: San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina – New Marriott Hall

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The first steps of this project included a demolition of a ballroom
and a loading dock, and a partial remodel of the second level, north tower banquet
room. The new 180,000 square foot Marriott Hall includes an exhibit hall, ballroom, and
kitchen, and the construction of a marina terrace walkway, cooling tower, surface parking,
and site improvements. A site paver and decorative concrete mock-up were used to
complete the new paved 270,000 square foot Marina Terrace, which provides significant
waterfront accessibility. A comprehensive design review process, value engineering, and
the use of BIM technology helped streamline the construction process.
