INDUSTRY RELATIONS
LIAISON COMMITTEES
AGC Industry Relations Liaison Committees meet regularly with officials from the County and City
of San Diego; Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division; Caltrans District 11;
SANDAG; the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority; the San Diego Unified Port District;
the San Diego County Water Authority; and other public entities as needed. The meetings focus
on solving the day-to-day challenges faced on construction sites. Topics include, but are not limited
to: bidding practices, specification content, project delivery systems, payment schedules, inspector
methods, change order procedures, contracts, etc. Public entities are typically represented by
those officials involved in “doing the work.” AGC’s Industry Relations efforts ensure an open line of
communication between these officials and the industry.
