It is crucial that all employees involved in a confined space entry understand the potential hazards and strictly adhere to the work practices and entry procedures. Confined spaces include underground vaults, tanks, storage bins, manholes, pits, silos, process vessels, and pipelines. During this 8-hour program, participants will learn the proper procedures for making entry into “Permit Required” Confined Spaces. This program of instruction will prepare participants to operate in the capacity of Entrant, Attendant, or Entry Supervisor during confined space operations. This program is required by OSHA before an employee can enter a “Permit Required” Confined Space.
