ARRIGO SAACHI IS STUCK IN A TIME WARP Arrigo Saachi who coached the great Milan side of the late 80s and early 90s as well as Italy, tarnished his legacy when he said that the Italian Youth teams are made up of too many blacks. He is from the old school and cannot seem to understand that the tide is turning. If he looked to Germany and France he would realize that both countries incorporated diversity into the make up of their teams. It is no coincidence that both teams have won the World Cup with this formula in the last 17 years! Views of the likes of Saachi and Dave Whelan are not helpful in fighting racism. Both are clearly stuck in a time warp. CHELSEA FANS RACIST BEHAVIOUR ON TRAIN Anyone who thought racism had disappeared from the English Premier League is deluded. It reared its ugly h ead again recently, when Chelsea fans stopped a black fan from boarding a train, whilst making a racist chant. The authorities have been very complacent thinking racism was a thing of the past. Chelsea have suspended some of the culprits. It was bad enough that the black person in question at the train station was already experiencing some very racist attitudes towards him in France, but to also encounter it from English fans in his own country was probably a bit too much and totally unacceptable! Racism should not be condoned in any form or shape. Those fans should be given life bans by Chelsea!
