As our youngsters travel abroad to ply their trade in top football leagues, their return after retirement ought to have been another huge blessing for African football if they were allowed to get involved in training and coaching at top levels. However, they are mostly overlooked in the random search for a messiah coach to deliver the goods we would never have time to prepare for ourselves.
