It was the Kenyans at first who dominated the headlines as word of Kenyan athletes using performance
enhancing drugs went rife on social media as WADA pursued culprits and eventually caught a few
Then it was the Russians who through a structured system were accused of doping and bribing officials
at the IAAF to turn the other way. The Russians would eventually admit to the accusation in exchange
for a reduced Ban. The Russian Federation with this admission would go on to lose hosting the World
Under 20 Championships slated to have taken pace in Kazan, Russia in July of 2016.
