Setting new highs for participation from over 20 countries & visitors from over 12 African countries, the event is all set for its exhibitors to meet serious buyers within the three days. The event continues to lead the way in showcasing the new products & technology not only to Kenya but also to its surrounding countries. The event is held in conjunction with 12th Kenya Trade Show 2015. Africa’s leading high level summit for education and innovation returns for its fifth year in 2015 and will take place in Kampala, under the patronage of the Government of Uganda, hosted by Hon Jessica Alupo, Minister of Education & Sports. The theme for this year’s event is “Developing Skills for 21st Century Africa”. According to the registration, approximately 7 800 business/trade/general visitors were estimated to have visited the exhibition. About 900 overseas trade visitors were recorded who came from Britain, Burundi, India, Hong Kong, Oman, Singapore, South Africa, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Uganda, Mozambique & UAE. With a population of 43 million, Kenya is the land of contrasts, as it is described, covers an area of 583 000km2 which is roughly the size of France. Kenya is believed to be the perfect combination of modern and natural beauty. Known worldwide for its wildlife and safari destination, it also boasts the mighty Mount Kenya, several savannahs, lakes and beaches, excellent climate and hospitable people. Innovation Africa is recognised as the leading high-level forum for education, ICT and skills development in Africa. For ministers, deputies and senior officials it is their preferred annual event for engaging with industry partners in their unique meetings-based format. Now in its 5th year, Innovation Africa, has gained the support and endorsement of officials from over 35 African countries and in 2015 they will see record numbers of officials attending with the key purpose to engage with private sector partners. There is simply no better annual summit to meet with so many ministers and officials under one roof during the course of three days. Innovation Africa 2014 included the participation of 26 African countries, 23 ministers, 140 government officials and over 250 industry leaders.
