Most of the materials sourced for the interior fit out were from green certified companies
such as Armstrong for ceiling and Interface for the carpets. The main challenge, however,
was the availability of finishing materials. “90 percent of the interior finishing materials
are not manufactured locally and have to be imported. A careful, on time procurement
process was key for the successful completion of the project,” he says.

“Often in Africa we give up on quality and maintaining a high standard in construction
because we assume it is not possible. At OOA we believe that international standards are
possible locally and we do our best to achieve it in all our projects, including Oracle. We
are very proud to have had this opportunity to have partnered with HOK and Oracle. We
were able to achieve a both high quality and aesthetics despite the challenges. The final
product is stunning and a testament to what can be achieved locally with the right team,”
