Feature Apps DESIGN Belgotex Floors have introduced a new virtual design application for the trade called Virtual Floor Designer. T he ‘app’ allows specifiers and designers to visualise different installations by “installing” various modular carpet ranges in four different commercial settings. Whether it’s an office, open plan layout, reception or office/pause area combination, it’s never been easier to be creative than with the Belgotex Virtual Floor Designer. The user-friendly Virtual Floor Designer is situated under the “Commercial Ranges” tab on the Belgotex home page. To start designing, users set the dimensions of the space in question and select a room – either office, open plan, reception or office/pause area combination. After selecting one of the modular carpet ranges, designers can then “install” their selection in any direction they like – monolithic, tessellated or random - to get an idea of the effect in that particular setting. There’s no reason to be shy, nothing is cast in stone – the customising tools allow users to change their mind, undo or restart at the click of a button! Input flooring swatches either by painting the whole area or filling in individual tiles with the Paint Bucket or Paint Tool respectively, try different lay directions and view their interior in 2- or 3D using the Perspective Tool and from various angles by swivelling up or down, left or right. The toggle tool allows users to even show or hide furniture. On completion, designs can be printed, emailed and saved with thumbnails of the swatches as PDF files. Now everyone can be a decorator! Customers or designers can try out their ideas or at least brief the professionals w ]H
