Food has never been fresher than at the newly refurbished Twist Restaurant at the African Pride Mount Grace Country House & Spa outside Johannesburg . With bee hives on the property producing honey on-site , guests can enjoy Blue Gum honey comb straight from the bee hive , on to their plate , or in their coffee . LLP Design re-designed the Mount Grace when it went through a major refit some eight years ago and continue to provide input to keep the facility on point .
The Twist Restaurant refurbishment was overseen by Nick Human , managing director of LLP Design , which was founded in 1974 . “ I have been with the firm since 1988 and have designed hotels , corporate offices , retail spaces and shopping malls throughout Africa , the Middle East , Eastern Europe and the Indian Ocean islands ,” he explains . LLP Design is an architectural interior design consultancy , with a specialised hospitality focus – they have completed projects for most of the world ’ s hotel brands and include luxury private lodges , to large scale high end five star hotels as well as corporate and limited service installations . “ We understand brand positioning and develop design strategies that encompass the vision of each facility within operating philosophies and procedures ,” says Human .
