wall construction
methodology
Canvas tents, the popular
choice for tented camp
chalets, are not as durable
and low maintenance as
what the design team
had hoped for. The designers at FTK Design & Development and DSA Architects, saw
this as a great challenge for their project. FTK & Design Development approached
Cemcrete with an alternative for the walling systems; their approach was to use one
of Cemcrete’s waterproofing products as a wall structure. This system consists of
layering membranes and a cement slush, making it very appealing for an eco-build
perspective as everything could be effortlessly dismantled if needed.
