Editor’s view
The best of Africa
2015 has been an industrious and pleasurable year for us here at
African Design Magazine, showcasing over 120 projects from all four
corners of the globe, half of which have been from the African continent.
We have pleasure in announcing that in January we will be publishing a
special edition; a compendium of Africa’s top 10 architectural projects
for 2015. We look forward to revisiting the African projects featured
in African Design Magazine in 2015 and selecting the best to showcase
and highlight the ingenuity and innovation of the design utilised on our
continent.

Coming back to this issue, our last for 2015, we bring you a bumper
selection of new projects, including a BMX track in Canada, a post disaster school in Thailand,
a residential block in Iran, offices for a young architectural practice in India, a multi-purpose
building at a tennis club in the Netherlands and locally made hospital products in Malawi
amongst many other inspiring local and international architectural projects.
