LONGGANG CHUANGTOU TOWER
communicating with the architects, we
installed the lights in the grooves on
the top of deep windows (outside of
the glass). The lighting can completely
show the changing characteristics of
stone. The anti-glare grilles are added
outside of the grooves and the grilles
is customized according to the size of
window frames and the angle of lights,
so as to avoid uncomfortable visual
perception. The lights are arranged and
installed according to the mechanism
and rhythm of the architecture itself, so
the quantity and energy consumption
can be reduced to a minimum,” GD-
Lighting Design explained.
The firm thinks that the architecture
is a container that captures light, just
like how a musical instrument captures
music. Light needs a structure that
can show it. VC&PE has an open
spatial structure, is interspersed
with deconstructed blocks and has a
rhythmical unit form, which gives light
the best expression carrier.
