LONGGANG CHUANGTOU TOWER
A RHYME OF LIGHT
Longgang Chuangtou Tower is located in the north of WUG
New town, Shenzhen, China where the 90s industrial park is
transforming from export-oriented industry to residential and
commercial uses. For topographical reasons, currently the
Longgang office tower is the only skyscraper in its neighbourhood.
T reflection is formed. This is th e most
important recognition element of
architecture, and is also one of the key
points in lighting design.
The curtain-wall surface is designed
with unique deep windows. With the
subtle change of the angle of the pane
sideboard, natural mechanism of light “For the installation angle and method
of lights, we have weighed the
possibility of various schemes through
calculation and simulation. We have
done a lot of considerations on the
light efficiency, energy consumption,
convenience degree of installation and
maintenance. After rethinking, and

firm GD-Lighting Design, best
known for exterior and interior
lighting design and consultancy, was
commissioned to take charge of
the lighting design. As a result, they
created “A Rhyme of Light” in the office
building.
