KNIGHTSBRIDGE
In order to ensure that the internal
environment is completely sealed for
maximised climate control, two of the
sub-contractors made use of Den Braven
sealants. P& D Fenestration specified
the Silicone NO as a weather seal for all
aluminium window frames. Concrete
Junction will be using Den Braven’s
Hybriflex 540 for all joint seals in the
buildings.
Conclusion
It is anticipated that the lifecycle
flexibility and sub-divisibility will ensure
buildings that will accommodate future
demands. Aesthetically, the buildings
effortlessly relate to the site context
and the landscaping aids in the spatial
experience. The courtyard and atrium
space in the WSP building as well as
the various roof gardens are distinctive
features that can be considered
as unique selling points for the
development.
“Emira provided a very clear design
brief which we believe has been
completely fulfilled. Not only does the
project allow for an increased GLA, but
it also allows an enhanced employee
experience that is achieved through
the implementation of biophilic
principles. This is a classic example
of how design principles can yield
positive benefits within a commercial
upgrade,” says Boer.
