TWO AFRICAN
JUDGES SWORN
IN AS JUDGES
AT THE ICC
The International Criminal Court of Justice
had six judges recently sworn in. From
Africa, Judge Reine Alapini-Gansou from
Benin republic and Judge Solomy Balungi
Bossa from Uganda were both sworn
together with the other 4 as judges.
The Judges have been elected to be in
office for up to 9 years. They were elected
during the 16th session of the Assembly of
States Parties (ASP)to the Rome Statute in
December 2017.
