Future Plans
With the growing population results to high demand , NYEWASCO unveils plans to counter the challenge . These are :
• Water supply extension to unserved low density areas .
• Sewer extension to upcoming high density areas ( Ring Road , Ruringu , Ngangarithi , Gatende Estate etc ).
• Sewer reticulation – Chaka Town .
• Sewerage Treatment and sewer reticulation at Mweiga Town .
• Use of on line automatic micro strainer ( filter ) – raw water pipeline .
• Methane Gas power generation at Kangemi Sewerage Treatment Plant .
• Packaging of sludge manure at Kangemi Sewerage Treatment Plant .
• Use of UV ( Ultraviolet ) for water disinfection .
• Drinking water bottling plant
• Strategic 40,000,000.00 m ³ water reservoir at Muhoya bridge .
