Scholarships for Master of Integrated Water
Management (Australia)
The International
Water Centre is
offering several
scholarships
for future water
leaders interested
in studying the
Master of Integrated
Water Management
commencing in Feb. 2016 at The University of
Queensland.
Up to three international scholarships are available: up
to two full tuition and full living costs scholarships (each
valued at AU$89,811) and one full tuition scholarship
(valued at AU$50,776). Partial scholarships (up to
AU$9,500) will also be available to self-funded students.

The MIWM program is custom-designed and
collaboratively delivered by leading industry practitioners
and lecturers from IWC’s founding universities. Students
can choose between three specialization streams:
international development, urban water, and water, land
and people.

Uganda Sanitation Fund (USF) vacancy
announcement
The Government of Uganda has received funding from
UNOPS/WSSCC to support the Uganda Sanitation
Fund (USF) Programme. The USF overall objective is to
contribute to reduction of morbidity and mortality rates
through improved sanitation and hygiene with a focus
on building sustainable and improved sanitation and
hygiene facilities, stopping open defecation and promoting
handwashing with soap. The programme is implemented
in 30 districts, largely located in the Teso, Lango and West
Nile regions and is managed by the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry of Health wishes to engage the services of
suitably qualified individuals to fill the following positions:
(1) Programme Manager (2) Communication and Learning
Specialist (3)Technical Assistant.

‘Teach: Water in the Post - 2015 Development
Agenda’ by UN-Water.
The 2015 World Water Day Campaign was celebrated on
the 22 March. However, the celebration did not stop at
that point. Partners kept up the pace of the WWD 2015
campaign through compiled all the resource materials
which can be utilized for education and suitable for an age
group between 13 to 18 years-old. The resources contain
powerpoints on water and sustainable development, a
20-minute-film, a quiz and other written material:
