The UN will celebrate three International Days at Expo
Milano 2015, one of which will be World Environment
Day on 5 June. Country pavilions and other participants
are invited to join in the celebrations and demonstrate
their support to the environment in a bid to transform a
large part of the Expo site according to UN colours and
branding.

World Water Week in Stockholm
is the annual focal point for the
globe’s water issues. It is organized by SIWI. This year
is the jubilee year for both the Week and the Stockholm
Water Prize. The theme is Water for Development.
In 2014, over 3,000 individuals and 270 convening
organizations from 143 countries participated in the
Week.
Experts, practitioners, decision-makers, business
innovators and young professionals from a range of sectors
and countries come to Stockholm to network, exchange
ideas, foster new thinking and develop solutions to the
most pressing water-related challenges of today. We believe
water is key to our future prosperity, and that together, we
can achieve a water wise world.

11th Conference on Water Technology in
Aachen

The main content of this conference is to present and
reflecting current findings from research, science and
technology. It wants to encourage the exchange between
experts from the fields of process engineering, water and
wastewater management, and economic operators of water
treatment and wastewater treatment plants. With over 300
participants, the event offers a broad discussion forum for
representatives from industry, research institutions and the
government. The topics cover the areas of system planning,
new developments, as well as the experience with already
operational systems. The conference is completed by a
trade exhibition.

The African Water Association is organizing its 18th
International Congress from February 22nd to 26th, 2016
in Nairobi - Kenya with the main following theme:
GWOPA 2015
The event will be held from September 16-18th, 2015
at Barcelona’s Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site and will be
conducted in English, French and Spanish. With the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) being launched
this year and water and sanitation operators set to play a
major role in their implementation, the SDGs will be the
focus of this year’s Congress.
The event will welcome those practicing, supporting,
studying or curious about using not-for-profit peer
“SUSTAINABLE ACCESS TO WATER AND
SANITATION IN AFRICA.”
