Heidelberg Recertifies To New Management System Standards
Celebrating its fourth year focusing on the original communications delivery device , International Print Day ( IPD ) threw open its virtual doors to the global print community on 18 October . The IPD hashtag on Twitter generated 26 million timeline deliveries in 24 hours .
The occasion presents a worldwide conversation without borders to share a passion for print through social media that spans all time zones and all types of print .
There were many ways for students and artists , printers and their supply chain partners to participate . IPD allowed those interested to share their work , favourite print samples and applications or simply share a moment with fellow enthusiasts using the hashtag # IPD17 .

BOBST Africa and Middle East Ltd . recently celebrated its 25th anniversary . An event to mark the occasion was held in Tunis during the fi rst week of October .
The event was attended by Jean-Pascal Bobst , chairman of the executive committee of the BOBST Group SA ; Samir Khoudja , managing director of BOBST Africa and Middle East ; Zied Laadhari , minister of development , investment and international cooperation ; Aziza Htira , chief executive officer of the Export Promotion Centre ( CEPEX ); Jenny Piaget , councillor to the Embassy of Switzerland in Tunisia and numerous other guests .
This conference discussion was an opportunity to look back at the achievements of the company and to plan forthcoming projects in Tunisia , Africa and the Middle East .
In his welcoming address , the managing director of BOBST Africa and Middle East Samir Khoudja thanked all those present who replied to the invitation , emphasising the importance of this event in highlighting the work conducted by BOBST . This challenge bore fruit thanks to a future-oriented strategy .
He added , ‘ BOBST Africa and Middle East has been in existence for 25 years . Certifi cation to the international ISO standards has been part and parcel of the quality and environmental policy of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG ( Heidelberg )’ s for over 20 years . As such , the company has reported completed recertification to the new management system standards ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 . This means that all production and development locations worldwide together with their marketing , product management , development , procurement , production and service functions as well as their support processes along the entire value chain have been successfully recertified .
The audit was carried out by certification company DQS GmbH ( German Organisation for the Certifi cation of Management Systems ), which for its part is authorised by the national accreditation body DAkkS GmbH ( German Accreditation Body ) in Berlin .
